Stockist Spotlight: For Ever Green

In the world of candles, we are all too familiar with the struggle of committing to purchasing a candle online when you can't physically hold it in your hands and give it a few good sniffs. When placing an order on our website, our loyal customers rely solely on our product descriptions, reviews from past customers, and trusting their instincts when it comes to picking out their favorite everyday candle. Luckily for you, we don't make bad smelling candles!

However, thanks to the nearly 300 retailers throughout the United States that stock our candles, many of our customers are able to give those candles a test drive before taking one home! Without them, we are like a candle with no smell. And because we appreciate our retailers so very much, we wanted to create a segment focused on shining a light back on them!

Today, I'd like to introduce to you For Ever Green, a lush plant and gift shop located in Redlands, CA. For Ever Green is owned and operated by Brianne, who dreamed up and opened the business during the pandemic. A true boss babe!

We opened October 3rd, 2020
2. When did you know you wanted to open a brick & mortar store?
The idea had been floating around for a while, but really came to fruition during the pandemic. I gave it more serious consideration and research and found that it could really work and be a benefit for our local community!

Less than a year.

Highly sought-after plants that people are looking for (for example, string of hearts or string of turtles), small-batch pottery, candles are a new addition but make a complimentary item
5. What is your best selling Candelles candle that you carry?
Cactus Flower
6. Do you have your own personal favorite Candelles scent?
My personal favorite is the Hemleva x Candelles collaboration Tomato Leaf

The most fulfilling part is the interaction with our guests, helping them find the perfect plant for their space and seeing the development over time!
8. What are some of the things you look for in a brand when stocking a new line?
Quality is number one. I also like to find brands that you cannot find everywhere.

We hope to start offering in-store classes/workshops soon and collaborating with local artists for art shows.

10. Have there been unexpected lessons you've learned while running For Ever Green?
I’ve learned how to organize events with other local vendors which allows both of our businesses to grow.

Daily plant maintenance (watering, trimming, assessing needs), interacting with guests and helping them pick out items/giving them advice, taking photographs to stay current on social media.
12. Do you host any community events or workshops at For Ever Green?
Not currently but hoping to in the future!
13. What has been the most challenging part of owning your own brick & mortar store?
