A Lovely Sunday

Honestly, what is better than love and family? I personally think the answer to that question is nothing. Getting to spend an afternoon surrounded by loved ones, getting to see a couple of incredibly amazing people join their love, and add in a little bit of adorable pitbull bully rubs and you've got a day that's nothing short of precious.

We were truly honored when CJ's cousin asked us to make the wedding favors for his wedding. Buddy and Jess, being creatives and entrepreneurs owning both Falls Tap Room and Cresheim Valley Grain Exchange in the Philadelphia area, were so fun to create the candle scents with!

We had yet to dive into the wedding market with Candelles, but getting to work closely with them as they described their perfect scents and creating each for them was pretty exciting. They had requested one made with the groom and one made with the bride, really reflecting their personalities so well!

For Buddy, owning two bars is his thing, and so we ended up blending a delicious candle that he chose to name "Bourbon Barrel". A truly complex smell, with a throw of bourbon and cedarwood, but when burning together gave off what I thought as a subtle chocolate scent. It was top notch!

For Jess, she immediately knew her exact scent. She wanted to make Raspberry Macaron and we made it happen. It ended up coming out so incredibly good that we ended up using this same blend in a few of our sponsorship swag bags this year too!

Because we wanted to let our candles be truly customizable, when Buddy requested to design his own labels for the candles, that was completely fine with us. We think they came out great!

We had so much fun working with them and getting to add to their special day was such a treat. During the beginning stages of working together, we loved it so much that we introduced Events: by candelles.

So now, if you have a wedding (or really any event!) that is in need of a eco-friendly, completely customizable party favor that your friends and family can truly enjoy, we'd love to help! Much of our 2014 Winter season is currently booked, but if are interested in favors for an event in 2015, we'd love to chat!

Additionally, here's some adorable pictures from the rest of wedding!

(I was serious about the pitbull belly rubs. There were a lot of them. She was just the cutest flower girl I ever met, I couldn't help myself.)
