Description

When we were dreaming up a Garden Collection, we truly couldn't think of anyone better than the plant queen herself, Samantha Leung of Hemleva, to help us design this line! Made up of four incredibly fresh, garden fragrances, the freshest and most green of the bunch is Tomato Leaf! It's a burst of leafy greens and sweet tomato.

If you haven't already, give Hemleva a follow on Instagram!

FRAGRANT NOTES:
top: tomato leaves
middle: coriander, peach
base: green woods

Style: Can Vessel
Size: 16 ounce
Burn Time: 80-120 Hours

Candle Tips //

  1. Maintain your wick – Your wick should be only 1/4" long every time you light your candle
  2. Create a large melt pool – Soy wax is considered "memory wax" and will replicate the melt from its first burn in subsequent uses. To ensure optimal burn, please allow your candle to stay lit until it reaches a significant melting pool diameter, preferably to the edges of the vessel. If you extinguish your candle too early, your melt pool will never go past the diameter of the first burn and can cause your candle wick to "drown" and no longer light. To accomplish this, we recommend burning your candle for a minimum of one hour during its initial lighting.
  3. Be cautious – Never burn your candle in an unattended area. Keep away from items that can catch fire. Do not burn for more than four hours at a time. Candle jar WILL get hot, be careful when touching. Keep away from children and animals.

      finally!

I have been on the hunt for a candle that *actually* smells like tomato plant and this IS IT. One of my favorite parts about summer is pruning and picking our garden tomatoes with my sons and being surrounded by that intoxicating, grounding scent that comes front the stems and leaves. I have tried two other candles that claim to be tomato plant scented and they did not pass the vibe check. They were also more expensive than this one. Candelles' version is the best yet. It is somehow earthy without being too deep and headache inducing. The peach notes give it a subtle softness that round the whole thing out perfectly. Although this is tomato plant scented I also get a very fresh, beachy feeling from this. LOVE.

      Indoor garden!!

I'm a huge Hemleva fan and ordered these candles to support Samantha but WOW I am so amazed and impressed by how much this one smells just like a tomato plant!!! I love it so much! It reminds me of when I was little and my mom would set up our garden every year. I will definitely be buying more candles from Candelles! They're wonderful!

Great candle but coriander scent is strong

The candle is great overall-- burns evenly, great packaging, and the scent carries without being too much. I gave 4 stars though because the coriander scent is almost like a peppery-scent and tends to overpower the other fragrance notes. I also loved that my order came with a sample tealight and some disposable paper matches, but the matches are definitely on the cheaper end and may throw sparks when lighting (the tip that lights falls apart when you use force to strike/light it).
