A Day In The Life: Amanda Kennedy

Every once in a while while scrolling through Internetland we'll stumble across a lady who is living her best life - who is authentically herself, bringing joy to the world, and whose love for Candelles shines so brightly we can't help but be pulled in and want to know more -- that's exactly how we feel about Amanda Kennedy.

Amanda is a wife and mother to two absolutely adorable littles who loves working as a full-time middle school special education teacher in a small suburb of Cleveland Ohio.  When she isn't teaching she loves to fill her free time with cozy relaxing family activities, and her Instagram is full of beautifully inspiring peeks into her daily life and home.

We wanted to get to know more about Amanda - what does a typical day look like in her world?  We are so excited that she was willing to share exactly that with us!

7-7:30am - Wake up with my babies, Lucy and Henry.

7:30-8:30am - Make coffee for me and breakfast for the kids - usually peanut butter toast and fresh fruit.

8:30-10am - Babes have quiet playtime or watch a little show while I sip coffee, clean up breakfast, and get the house ready for the day. I love lighting a candle at this time to set the mood.

10am-12:00pm
- Depending on the weather, we get outside to play or do a craft/activity like coloring or painting. Henry takes his morning nap during this time so I have some alone time with Lucy. Lately, she has been loving having her
nails painted.

12:00pm-1:30pm - Henry wakes up, we play some more and then all have lunch together.

1:30pm-3:30pm - Both babes go down for an afternoon nap and I get some time to myself to watch a show, bake, clean up the house, or rest. This is another time I love lighting one of my candles

3:30pm-5:30pm - We go back outside to play or we have more playtime/activities (play dough, sensory bins) inside if it's cold and rainy. My husband is done with work around this time too if it is a weekday. Lucy has been obsessed with playing in her little playhouse outside any chance she gets.

5:30-6:30 - Dinner together.

6:30-7pm - After dinner, we usually take a walk together and give the babes a bath when we get home.

7-8pm - Quiet playtime or movie time together depending on the day.

8-8:30pm - We read books with the babes and put them both to bed.

8:30-11pm - Clean up the house, take a shower, watch a show or a movie (with a candle lit of course), and go to bed.

We are so incredibly grateful for this peek into Amanda's world.  This sweet teaching mama is an absolute super star in our books!  If you've loved getting to know Amanda as much as we have, be sure to follow along with her on Instagram @amandaincle!
